Shame you dropped out of the graphics portion. I loved the way the menu looked and felt. The cell looked nice too. You are right though. Thank you for your honesty at least!
The game was fun, though short and a little repetitive. Jail cell fits the idea of "one room" perfectly.
When the inmate's sprites line up, it is easy to just mash the space button.
Decent game!

I'm afraid this game isn't really finished. It lasts about a minute and you cannot lose at all. Perhaps you were a bit short on time? I see that you emulate Notch's coding style very closely; that may present troubles if you aren't as familiar with Java as he is. I hope you'll have better luck next time!

Fun game! However, it would benefit from adding background and increasing a little the difficulty. It's possible to just spam Space while on top of the enemies and win effortlessly. This might have been on purpose because you were out of time, though.
The main menu is nice. Also, it fits the theme very well :)

The cellmates didn't fight back. Not really much here to comment on.
The code is pretty much a copy of TheChernosProject's game programming YouTube series and also notch's Minicraft ludum dare entry. Just make sure you're not copying code and memorizing it instead of actually learning how to do things.
Unfinished.
Interesting idea, but not a lot to it. It might have been better to require some sort of sneaky strategy or something.

Short but well made game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/7ZuTwiufN-U
