Congratulation for your first game and Ludum Dare !
The game looks like a first game, but, that is encouraging ! Keep going and don't give up !
Even if it's your first game, I have to do an objective review. Your game is not really playable, the controls are pretty ankward and I don't understood what to do. How can I shoot ennemies ? A tutorial could have been appreciable.
A very important point is the sound. Even if you just have crappy sounds, put sounds in the game. Moreover, you can use generators like SFRX for sounds and fakemusicgenerator for musics.
Finally, make a better GUI. I don't understand why

So, it's encouraging but remember what I said for your next games.
:)

Saw your comment on my artists timelapse video, so decided I would check out your entry. Cute little shooty game. The enemies projectiles move very fast and are quite difficult to dodge. I like how they can actually shoot each other XD. Nice job on your first LD entry!

First of all, congrats on your first entry! :) Beginning is always hard, we don't know how to handle some stuff, but it's nice that you've finished and published! Keep going! :)

I'm missing some audio feedback, which I believe is quite important, specially on arena shooters like this one. Some visual feedback and UI is required too.

You made the player blink when he's hit, you have a life counter, but how much each hit take, how many hits the player can take before dying? This is an important thing. :)

On controls, I feel that 8-way movement is better for this style of game. Tank/RE style movement is kinda confusing to most people, so this one's to make the game more accessible. :)

Anyway, pretty nice for your first entry! Keep at it! Never stop making! :D
