How to play?
Spacebar to move, release it to rewind :)
Interesting mechanic, a little bit difficult to master.
Hard to get the hang on the rewind mechanic but fun once you understand it. Ran into an issue a couple of times where the character would run the wrong way down the platforms and would sometimes get stuck in the falling animation
Quite hard, but interesting idea, had some issues too with the character running the wrong way
@Bellatrion @Maffew sorry to hear about the bugs but thanks for playing it!
One of the more innovative games I've played so far from the entries. Stayin' alive at the background really helped to rhythm the rewinding, although the game was quite hard nevertheless. The art style was really good and it fit nicely to the tone of the game. Overall really fun and creative game!
Great idea, art, and music! I love the simple mechanics. I really wanted to beat it, but unfortunately I couldn't...
I kept running into a bug where the character would run backward when I pressed spacebar, which would invariably get me killed.
Aside from that issue, this is an awesome entry!
@BulletArePeopleToo sorry about that, will try to fix it! thanks for playing!
Maybe even too difficult, still very fun! Cool idea!!!!
It has a really interesting idea behind the core mechanic, but I think the level isn't really designed around it. What I mean by this is that most of the time you want to simply stop rather than go backwards, so you just spam the spacebar, which is hard on the eyes due to the rapid changing in visuals and the way the player vibrates between a number of positions when you do this. Additionally, the large hitboxes make it extremely unforgiving. I would suggest thinking about ways to design the levels so that you want to go both backwards and forwards, such as activating things that when rewound, cause the player to take another route. I think the idea has a lot of potential!
@Bumblepie Totally get and agreed with you point. To be honest we didint have time to implemente the design we originally had for the level so we had to rush it, our primery focus was getting the core mechanic as polished as we could. Thanks alot for the feedback and for playing too!
Interesting mechanic though quite hard! Didn't manage to get past the 2 monsters next to eachother ^^'
Nice graphics, cool concept! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/7yEaPmt36yU
