Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

@steph88: Thanks... I feel very tired now! :)

I just uploaded my game on indiexpo:

Sounds cool with the video - looking forward to see it! :)

I like the unique art style and game concept.
But i have faced issues like
suddenly rabbit is gone and now moving camera left to right no rabbit on the view.
Also can improve on the player movement.
You can some game over screen with restart option to try again.
A good game for a "new to Unity" developer in limited time.

The character dies and nothing happened. It looks promising in the aesthetic and narrative proposal.

@paruthidotexe: Thanks for your feedback, it was really useful! I used the first jam day on a platformer tutorial, so I could really feel the time preasure. But the jam was a very good learning experience! :)

@vicious_br: Thanks :) I just tried your game... really like it! :)

Wow that future rabbit was fast! I struggled a bit with the jumps due to the movement speed, although it was a lot easier when I started pressing jump and then moving once in the air. I'd say work on giving the character a little more weight. Also some feedback when you get hit would help as I didn't realise those dark rocks where hurting until i noticed my health had all gone. Don't mean to be negative though, it looks good and has a really nice individual art style

@SecondDimension: Yeah, the game mechanics could use a lot of adjustment! Just started programming four months ago so I have a lot to learn... I will think about your suggestions next time I make a game :) Thanks for your feedback!

This rabbit sure is fast. Nice game, I like the art.

@Neonian: Thank you! Glad you liked the game :)

demogorgon 2016-09-04 21:51

The art was so good but the controls were so bad due to movement speed being way too high.

kirstine 2016-09-05 18:15

@demogorgon: Glad you liked the art... and you are right about the controls:)

Not bad for your (first?) unity platformer, I don't have much to add to what's been said.

If you want that high movement speed, you could have added acceleration, so when you press A for instance, you add -x acceleration to velocity x until it reaches max. And you can multiply velocity by friction in the update loop if you want to make him stop slower/faster.

@lightsoda: thanks... and really cool idea!
