Didn't realize I had to use fullscreen until reading the description and fullscreen doesn't rescale the game, but otherwise it's solid.

I think I encountered a bug. trying to shift down on the same piece after shifting up caused the game to lock. Other than that, I love me a good tetris clone and this is a pretty good one in its own right. I would just suggest adding more controls (give the player the ability to rotate left AND right) and some hotkeys to activate shifting. Maybe later on you can polish this up. I liked it so far though.
very interesting take on tetris. Love it!
Nice try!I like it!
Yeah it's a good tetris, but I had to restart a few times to understand the controls!
Nice idea but it took me many tries to be proficient with shape shifting, and then game became too easy
The mechanic to be able to design your own blocks is a cool addition to tetris and for me, as someone who was never really good at tetris, it was very helpful and got me into the game. before i noticed, already 10 minutes had passed with me playing around with your game: finding interesting techniques to not loose as fast, for example one can just rotate a piece very quickly to make it go back up :) i enjoyed the music of the game, it was fitting and improved the experience greatly, as well as the little extra juiciness when you finally hit the top and loose and the screen starts to shake. I also enjoyed the graphics, they were simple but very fitting for an oldschool game. The Controls were also well done, for me the shapeshifting key-combos felt intuitive and beeing able to do all actions with one hand made coordinating a lot easier than if i had to move/rotate/build the pieces with seperate hands. Well done, thanks for the submission, its a fun game :)
while it adds an interesting mechanic to tetris i found myself just playing tetris and ignoring the mechanic completely. It was a mechanic that never felt needed to be used. I think you have a good starting place here but you need to I give the player either an incentive to use the move/subtract ability or something that will force them to use it as the core game you are building on is infinitely playable without it.
I hope this doesn't come across overly critical because I do really like the idea
