I think I broke it ;). At one point I had 13377/10 mana, and was doing 4000+ damage to 10 hp enemies through AOE attack, instantly gaining another level :D
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Hellish Grind

I went through a few waves. Does it go on forever or is there an end boss?
Well I guess there's a lot of work on the system, but as you pointed it out some more feedback would have been a great plus ^^' SFXs, "validated button" feedback, little indicator on the targets when launching a spell, and as you say enemy animations. Even a little something would have been nice, because otherwise it's hard to notice what's going on exactly :/
Good work anyway for the system :)
Yeah Grhyll, thanks for the feedback and i agree 100%. This was the first time i was using object pooling as well as a turn based game...i had HUGE problems getting the thinking right on how to use an object pool and link monsters to UI. However NOW i know how and i will keep working on this project as I had a lot of fun, even if there is no game i learned so much in so little time.
Andrew, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah really nothing there :P i didn't get very far game wise. Never gotten to implement a win condition in a game yet ;/
Awesome turn based game. Are the units that appear randomly generated?
Though it's a tried-and-true formula, it's still fun to play. I like the feel of the game. Though I would advise polishing the game later and not focusing too much on programming that you neglect the other aspects. Adding a block of backstory text would help, and adding sound would make the grind less tedious. Also if you can, put some music in it (or, since this is a jam, use free music tracks) so it would enhance the feel and perhaps add some subtle backstory.
