Nice game, the only thing i didn't like so much is the sond of the hit from the spoon.

davikin92 2015-04-21 04:44

I could not play it

Movement system feels, off. The sound of the spoon clanking is very jarring compared to the calm nature of the soundtrack. I commend you for making your own art though.

I run LudumDare32.exe and nothing happens!

Pretty cool, I like it:)

Need to install the xna framework and then it is running fine.
Theme of the game is very interesting so downloaded to see that very little is done in the game got disappointed..

I enjoyed your game! The reference was hilarious! I would re-evaluate your background. It was a little too busy, and distracted from the foreground. Next time try something monochromatic, like various shades of blue and black.

Who is having trouble, just download the XNA framework and everything should be fine. Also, thanks for the feedbacks! Sorry if some of you got disappointed, but we (my team) are still learning how to make games. We will be taking notes to improve our skills!

doesn't work

brunocoimbra 2015-04-21 06:48

Those who say that "doesn't work": did you already tried to install the XNA Framework (link above)?

It's a cool idea but the game itself felt a little half-cooked. Just as an example, there was little reason for the player to move around the map: generally the best tactic seemed to be to camp in the lower level and just spam spoons which wasn't much fun. If there would be, for example, collectible fork or even knife powerups or something, you would have to move around the level more and make choices (confronting the player with difficult choices is of essence in game design!) between going after a victim or trying to fetch a powerup.

Keep working on more games, you're off to a good start!

Thank you, j_peeba!!!

hotboxgames 2015-04-22 17:34

Nice little game, keep at it! :)

I think the most important thing to consider here is how you can give players interesting choices to make and interesting ways to practice and exhibit their skill. Currently, players don't have much of a reason to move beyond the bottom row and spam the attack button. This is a good start, so keep it up!

i can't play it.. why?
