Little unfair, but overall pretty good considering the time spent.

Little unfair, but overall pretty good considering the time spent.
Crashed Chrome, so had to review in Firefox, thus no audio unless I bring up the scrapings of a latrine known as PulseAudio... which seems to be broken anyway. (I have a weird setup.)
I suspect this was a 1-hour-or-less job. If this is the case, then that's a very respectable effort.
Gameplaywise it felt very mediocre, but was well-explained.
Despite the lack of artwork it was fairly well utilised (dem angles), and I really want to give you exactly 2 and a half stars for it. I've decided to round up.
Overall, 2 stars. I hope you get more time next time, so I can watch you scream "THIS IS MY TRUE FORM" and kick everyone's arses.
Pretty great for two hours. It was a bit challenging, but not in an unfair way, and the design of the second level was actually interesting. Also, shooting rainbows is just the best.
Interesting idea but a little messy. Feels rushed. It's hard to see what's in the level but fun to play once you start to learn the floaty controls. I had a couple of bugs where I fell thru the floor or failed to pick up pickups.
Hisss - Interesting... I felt like the spikes is unfair. I just didn't have time to mess with it. However, it's great to know other perspectives.
Avek - Interesting. If anyone else experiences falling through platforms let me know what browser+version you're on. There isn't much I can do since it's default Construct 2 though.
As for failing to pick up pickups - same thing I never saw that so which browser and if you could take a screenshot of exactly where you are when you try to pick it up and fail that would be grand.
Yeah it's messy because of the time crunch (~2hrs). Sadly I didn't really do anything innovative so it kind of kills it, but it is what it is!
Re: floaty controls - also interesting. Thanks for this feedback I didn't think about it being floaty but should have noticed.
fun little game, eat my rainbows blue blocks lol
You can definitely see that it was rushed, I like the rainbow weapon, but the gameplay was pretty bland. I wasn't sure what the hammer-like pickup did. Sorry for a harsh review, but I didn't really see a lot of innovation, especially since it was made in construct 2, and so a lot of the mechanics are already implemented for you. Hopefully you have more time next ludum dare :)
