Quite hard but nice to play ;)

swiftillusion 2014-12-10 02:49

Pretty cool idea, regrettably though the performance makes it barely playable and I often end up dying just because I couldn't control the character. Hopefully you're able to improve that soon as the premise seems like it could be enjoyable :).

Great idea, but shame that the low FPS means its almost impossible to play. Still, I'll rate you high on theme and innovation.

Like SwiftIllusion, I had big performance issues, but the concept was great.

estebanm 2014-12-11 19:52

Thanks for the comments, I worked the last couple of days and fixed the performance. Link in the description.

Since it took me two days of work after the submission, should I put it on the embedded player?

harsayhd 2014-12-11 20:46

Great concept, but it's laggy as hell.

absor 2014-12-11 20:51

I fell of the game area many times (bug) and the field keeps spinning forever. Not possible to play well. This was all in the new version.

freaknarf 2014-12-11 20:55

Nice, but it's a bit laggy on the web version!

estebanm 2014-12-11 21:18

@Absor The stopping point is decided at random by some invisible triggers (this was a poor design decision). Can you tell me in which parts of the map you fell through? I had this bug in the right external wall but I haven't been able to replicate it.

@freaknarf The version on the web link is the original submission to the jam, it has terrible performance. The embedded version now has better performance.

Thanks for the comments

Gosh this is really hard! But quite cool! :D

On web player has a bug...
But I liked the idea and the use of the theme.
Good Work!
Maybe new stages could make this game better!

chaoseed 2014-12-13 02:25

Hmmmm, this is an interesting concept, though I think the implementation needs work. Basically, it seems impossible to jump while the stage is rotating, but this means you often get stuck in areas where you cannot escape being tipped into spikes. (And there are a LOT of spikes.) It seems like you've set a difficult task for yourself in trying to implement collision in a rotating playfield, but keep working at it. ;)
