Awesome! Just that. Gimme more :D
Kinda interesting idea. Like the difficulty of this game. :) The sprites are also looking good. Good job!

Come and see us! :)
Really enjoyed this.
Very interesting art decision!
reminds me of old days, great one :)
Wonderful! Very fun game and I love the style! Though, after I'd slain the mighty dragon, nothing happened. Maybe a bug? Or perhaps a win screen wasn't implemented. Not very important though, I thoroughly enjoyed playing this piece of art :D
Now 2 of my favourite LD entries this round are LCD throwbacks (this and http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=46900). I'd love to see more games like this!
Hey, thanks for all the nice comments. BoxedMeatRevolution, yeah we basically didn't have time to finalise various things. The left ledge in the dragon room should have held a magical sparkly victory treasure. We'd have also liked to reset-loop back to the start portal, with increasing 'levels' and a score, but as stands you can only beat the dragon. Well done for beating the dragon! I'm off to check that linked game, thanks.
Java exception error, my Java is up to date so can't play your game :(
I suck at these games but man, I really enjoyed this one :D nice use of the theme. Well done :)
Overall 5! This is amazing! maybe a little bit hard but really amazing moog of olg game platforms
Cool. Made it to the climbing ropes before i gave up for now :)
Java exception =(
I like the old handheld game concept, it fits with the theme really well. The only real downside is the fact that the timing for everything doesn't line up, so if you leave it running long enough, the timing required to pass certain parts changes. It also wasn't obvious if the sword did anything to the skeletons, I ended up just running past them, but I have no idea if I could kill them or anything like that. It's a bit simple overall, and on the short side, but not a bad game at all.
Interesting idea! That little piece of dirt on the right edge is an evil one :) I was expecting for something to happen when I killed the dragon, but it just vanished.
