I liked it, except the ending of careers for players, did not really add anything. And the choices of violent awesome tricky hard to understand how that translates to game play.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → American Football USA!

Really emphasizes what I've always said about football, that it's a turn-based strategy game (with real-time combat, though not part of this version). I like the concept.
Would have appreciated seeing a little more indication of potential effects on screen when choosing between the three different play styles. With the timer always counting down, I didn't want to take time to refer back to the instructions.
Kidney stones as an injury was hilarious, by the way.
Good point about having more visual indication of the play styles. Maybe as a quick patch, I'll add some hint text.
Dandruff, out for career :)
Interesting but could have been more fun.
This was pretty amusing, though (believe it or not) a little subtle. I mean, it made me laugh that it's the 'Cowboys' vs. 'Terrorists', and I assume the ultimate 'TV rating' has something to do with the injuries? But if you really wanted to do a satirical game, you could have hit the satire harder. ;) The animation and sound were good; the gameplay was kind of interesting...at least, it SEEMED like I was having some effect on the gameplay, though I'm not quite sure that's even the case! I guess it'd be cool if the simulation were more involved, or it were more obvious what was going on, what was the better choice to do in each situation...(Also, by the way, at some point my yard number became "NaN". I was at "1st and NaN | On the NaN".) Good work though!
I'm not familiar with american "football" so I made random choices and lose.
