Nice references but game play is very flat & repetitive.
The idea of doing mashups was great and fits the theme nicely, but the gameplay is just too simple so it turned boring quite fast.
Gameplay is too simple, but for something done in one day as your first Ludum Dare I'd give it a C++ (lol I made a programmer joke). If you were to expand on this with better graphics, and make each hero/villain have different powers and tactics, it could be rather interesting.
