fun game!
Very similar to my own idea :D
Hi there. The black and white of the default tile was fairly stressful to look at. Movement seemed a bit stop/go - on Chrome/W8.1. Shame no sound.

@mrexcessive, I have toned down the background tiles, and added new sound effects, in a post-compo build.
I had some music ready during the compo, but it was too irritating when looped for me to use - having no music was easier on the ears!
The player movement is not perfect, short keystrokes are often missed. I hope to to fix this soon, and smoothly animate the movement too.
