i found jogging nonchalantly past hordes of slugs and chocolate-covered men to be quite funny...however, the chocolate-covered giant with spear hands stabbed me to death...what a world

This is a scary, nasty game! In a good way!

First go I tried avoiding everything as I couldn't find an attack. I got to the end and had an army of sick, slimy, spiky things chasing after me!!

Read the above text and thought, oh okay, you're supposed to die. Played the second time died... and nothing happened!

Good though, the creepiness is off the scale!

Really like the mood you set, too bad there's not much gameplay to enjoy it.

Yes, unfortunately we ran out of time. The key thing missing was the death evolution and the 5 phases of becoming a demon like creature over time. :(
Not to worry though, we are making it into a proper game outside of Ludlum Dare. We feel it deserves to be finished as the LD entry failed to deliver the basics in time.

For some reason, pressing up made me go up, and pressing down made me go...up? So I couldn't get past the first wall.

Sadly very lacking in gameplay. About the only thing I can really say from what there is, is the title screen is awesome. The actual in-game graphics are not so stunning.

Login to Google is not required. Simply click download, then confirm the warning about it being too big to scan. Tested here whilst signed out of google.

Tried to run this on Windows 7 64-bit and couldn't get it working. Every time it tries to load I get an error prompt saying "LD24_WIN.exe has stopped working." The errors in the command prompt are that it failed to load the textures for the logo, title and background. It also fails to load the fonts and stops after trying to load mordernantiqua12.fnt. I tried downloading the file again but I get the same error.

Both up and down arrow keys seemed to go upwards. It worked correctly with my gamepad though. (running in Wine)
