I think this could be pretty fun with some kind of win condition added and a few tweaks. I like the idea of slowly covering the land with your trees and advancing on the enemy while fighting off invaders who are trying to do the same.

The controls for the ship is a bit slippery, but I guess it's all part of the challenge.
