I really like the idea of swimming through jelly :D If you could make the jelly blocks a bit transparent it would add a lot of value to the look of the game.

Oh also, you could really have gone through some extra 'trouble' of cropping your screenshot. Screenshots like this give the impression that you don't really care.
srry i had to go and i wouldnt have time to post later
Well this is... interesting.
I don't feel you tried very hard with this. The collision is terrible, the jump sound is annoying, there's no challenge to the level design, it's short, and it's just not very fun. Also, did you do the graphics in mspaint or what?
After I got the hang of it, I was looking forward to a second level. But there was only cake =/
lol, this was my first game, and i tried alot of different things to get the gravity working and didnt have enough time for the sideways physics, and i should have reordered some code so the player was always on top, next time im going to try different things, this engine was sucky
I'm really happy to see that you stuck with this and got as far as you did. If you've never tried to make a game before, it can seem like an insurmountable challenge to even get started. Hopefully you've learned a lot from the 3rd party code you have been working with, and will be in a better position the next time you decide to enter a contest.
Like you say in your own journal, it's about sticking to the task and not giving up just because things get difficult.
Dont let the negatives above get you down. Game programming takes practice... and this was pretty good for a first try. keep it up!
The physics were a glitchy. But i got i cake! :)
