Ughh, please no installers. They're such a hassle to handle!
My apologies, I have added a version that does not use an installer and should work fine if you have XNA 4.0 and .NET installed.
The version I had used the installer, which I actually went through with but it made me /sadface. :( Happy to see you fixed that.
I tried to play this on my laptop and the ninja just glitched around the world, then fell out? Maybe the laptop isn't running well enough to play this game, but it was completely unplayable for me. :(
Except for the menus, at least!
Hi!, it looks very nice but there are two points I think you should consider: try to put the download file outside megaupload (because of the waiting time), if you got a dropbox account would be nice to put it there, the second one is more important, I think, I downloaded it and played it but... is there any possibility to jump higher than the first big wall? I could not, not sure if I'm very bad playing or that is a bug, check it and I will try again :).
@gokuhd Thanks for the advice, I'll look at uploading the files to dropbox. For the wall you're supposed to get over it by making use of wall jumping. Just hold the space bar and tap jump while moving in the walls direction.
@kavs I asked a friend of mine with a slow PC to check it out but it ran fine for him so I'm not sure what is causing the problem for you but it most likely boils down to bad programming on my part.
The first time I played, controls felt kind of stiff, but it was quite playable until about the third checkpoint at which point the ninja started glitching all over the place. After restarting it was fine for a complete second playthrough, though. It's odd having wall-jump be a different button than regular jumping, but it was easy enough to get used to.
Some parts are frustratingly difficult (jumping on the walls with plasma on every step, or guard who'll see you if you're not extremely careful) and thanks to sliding the controls weren't exactly good. But you've put a lot of checkpoint, which reduced the difficulty to manageable level and tried to spice the platformer a bit - so even for my ramblings I rate is as good.
And as gokuhd already said... please, next time no megaupload, especially for a tiny half meg file. (it would be probably best if you changed the download link somewhere else even now, a lot of people will be put off by forcing them to wait a minute, then wait a minute...
@kavs: I had the same problem.
If this gets fixed then I think this game has real potential.
