There is a permission error when trying to run on Mac OS X. I tried chmoding everything but that didn't help.
8/22/11 3:14:14 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.1080[236] ([0x0-0xa56a56].escape_from_dorf_bay[22173]) posix_spawn("/Users/edelventhal/Downloads/application.macosx/escape_from_dorf_bay.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub", ...): Permission denied
NVM I got it to run with the following:
chmod +x /Users/me/Downloads/application.macosx/escape_from_dorf_bay.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub64
Well, you did a good job setting up atmosphere. I was ready for something to kill me in the house, that's for sure. But then I couldn't go anywhere. I just couldn't find where I was supposed to put my mouse in order to make the up arrow appear, and I became trapped after hardly starting. I suggest removing the hover mouse and just leaving the buttons there at all times.
I'll take on it. A lot of people complained about that, so I guess it's my fault.
I liked the photos - your friend is right, your house _is_ scary! The sound was great too, I wish there was more of this.
Thanks for the compliments, I really got proud of what I did in under 1 hour with the sound.
Messing with windows sound recorder is awesome!
well.. tried the windows version: "Java Virtual Machine Launcher - Could not find the main class. Program will exit!"
Have you extracted everything to their correct folders?
This error usually happens when the .exe cannot find the path of the /lib/ and the /source/
This reminds me a little of some old games with digitalized photos (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6m7bYlGPq4 ). I like the atmosphere, but painted parts are... well, just bad. Especially compared to the rest, which is cool (a pity it's so short). Not bad!
I couldn't get past the fridge, there wasn't an arrow there... was this something I should keep clicking on?
How do you open a fridge?
A great atmosphere setup, but fell flat soon without any actual action/progress. I like the idea though, the photos are a bit too dark though.
I'm sorry, I couldnt manage to think about a proper ending nor draw anything that would indeed be scary, I'll keep deving it now that the restrictions from the LD are gone.
