Took a while for things to heat up. Controls were okay, but took a little while to get used to. Had a really old-school lcd-style game feel for some reason...
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD17 → Island Defense

Mouse to rotate the shields was ok, but the keys to switch active islands was pretty awkward when you were somewhat unsure of which island it would set you to next.
Yay, 9770.
Nice idea. The control part where you select the active island is the main problem. For a programmer it's quite logical, but during playing it's just awkward.
I do have to say, I have no idea how to make it better though (other than maybe let me click on it).
There's definitely potential, but the controls were really awkward.
I managed 13,000 points.
Quite fun but I had trouble switching to the island I wanted when many of the islands were directly above or below each other.
When I got down to one island it was fun to see how long I could hold out.
Good game, but it tends to boil down to that last island quickly; picking islands is not very intuitive, so it's best to just save one.
