Apr 9 02:08:39 Scrab the Scrabbler ♥ 5 Really impressive entry! There's a lot of potential in the roguelike Scrabble combo. For me the time limit and fishing mechanic detracted from being able to fully enjoy the puzzle/roguelike aspect - I kept missing and then having to wait for the arrow to land on the other side of the map. But I do appreciate the fresh mechanic of collecting letters and the tie to the jam theme!
Apr 9 03:29:01 1h 20m Stolen Heart ♥ 1 The art style is amazing! I played three runs and made it to the dragon each time. I enjoyed learning the mechanics and developing a strategy about what is and isn't useful in your deck. (Siren Voices seemed so strong at first, but it's bad to draw later on.) I love Umbrella Shield but it couldn't stand up to dragon. Hypothetically lots of "reduce the enemy's attack" and starting shield might be able to beat him... Great entry overall, I would definitely play more if you do a post-jam update!
Apr 9 03:41:14 12m 13s Bagatelle ♥ 1 Great job! I had a lot of fun. It wasn't too hard (especially with the checkpoints) and it was fun to release the character (who is cute, if mysterious) and hope for the best - it was always exciting to see if it would bounce perfectly or hit an enemy. The fact that the spike blocks disappeared after being hit once made it a lot more forgiving to just bounce around and see what happens. (At least that's how I played it, I'm sure some people deployed more technique in aiming and re-aiming mid-bounce.)
Apr 9 03:48:48 7m 34s Speed Dating ♥ 1 Ok, I love this! Funniest jam game I've played so far. Silly dating sims are awesome (I have made a few myself.) I like how you can finish a lap by either succeeding or failing at the date - there's definitely some strategy in achieving the best times. The racing game sound effects really take the joke to the next level too.
Apr 9 04:05:58 17m 10s Granny's Gotcha ♥ 1 Amazing art and a great premise! The purse items and dialogue about them was really funny too. I enjoyed the more difficult levels. When there were multiple children in a row, it always got easier as you go (kind of the opposite of what you'd expect) so I think you could have just one child per puzzle so there's more challenge.
Apr 9 04:57:31 51m 33s Icebreakers! ♥ 2 So cute! The polar bear was my favorite. I love the metaphor of "ice breaking" as a mechanic - that adds a fun layer on top of a normal dating-sim type game. It might be interesting if thing got icier when you say something wrong, but I also liked how relaxed it was. The timer didn't seem to matter since I always had lots of time.
