Apr 8 03:23:07 Sushi Pit ♥ 1 That's actually pretty clever! It seems like often the matching sushi aren't there but it's fun when they are. I think a way to dispose of the extra sushi so you could dig deeper sooner would be helpful. Also, it didn't work very well in my browser until I tried fullscreen mode, so if you're having trouble running it try fullscreen.
Apr 8 03:27:47 4m 40s A Present for Ama ♥ 1 Very nice. Lots of personality and charm comes across in few pixels and colors. I could see this turning into a chill downward puzzle game, i hope you keep working on it!
Apr 8 03:33:56 6m 09s The Cloud Cities ♥ 1 Pretty neat, I couldn't really figure out what to do but I like the idea of a colony sim on a triangular grid. I think if you simplified and focused on giving the player more feedback it could be a pretty compelling sim-style game.
Apr 8 03:38:03 4m 07s Spring Drill ♥ 1 Neat idea! I think a little more focus on the player movement could make this a really unique game, right now it feels like you kind of "freeze" at the top and bottom of your jump, if the movement was more fluid and smoother I think the rest of the game would work really well without needing changes.
Apr 8 03:44:19 6m 16s Schooling ♥ 1 This was really good. Very confusing, needs to give more feedback to the player and make it clear what's happening but really solid game. I'd love to play a "remastered" version of this, great thematic fit for a deckbuilder and the little animated touches like the bubbles and swimming fish were great.
Apr 8 03:50:20 6m 01s 931 ♥ 1 Was too dark for me, I know that fits the theme but it was impossible to see what was going on. Would love more feedback if you try to interact with the things that you don't need. But overall a neat escape room and pretty impressive scope for a compo entry!
Apr 8 04:03:58 13m 38s Clock In ♥ 1 Well done. I loved the mechanism of slowly taking away player agency over time. I think the trouble with making a game exploring a "bleak" or "boring" situation is that if your work succeeds (and I think this does) then it just feels bleak and depressing. Need to find a way to separate the player and the character they are playing, so that the player is challenged or entertained or made to think, even if the in-game character is numbed or depressed. Lots of nice subtle touches in this, like the draining color in the commute.
Apr 11 20:16:06 88h 12m Tiny Tinker ♥ 2 Very fun! Reminds me of classic platformers like VVVVVVV. I liked the single color graphics but would be helpful if the "walls" were a little clearer as to what parts were traversable.
Apr 16 00:04:17 99h 48m Towards the Light ♥ 2 Very cool puzzle and remarkable graphics and animation for a jam! Loved the stylized look. I think a little more of a tutorial and player feedback would help understand the puzzle, but overall very impressive start.
Apr 16 00:11:46 7m 29s Copper Soul ♥ 2 Neat game, the artwork was charming and the puzzly path-choosing was interesting and felt like it had good tradeoffs. I didn't like the combat -- it seemed completely deterministic, which is fine but it could have been handled quickly instead of making the player wait for the whole animation OR it could have more strategic choices. The narrative bits and flavor text were a lot of fun and set this one apart from similar games.
Apr 16 00:17:46 6m 00s Splorer ♥ 0 Ahoy! Fun concept and i could see this growing into a vast strategy game. I think some kind of a log that reports what happened would help to learn and follow the game.
Apr 19 18:05:27 89h 47m "Jammy" Bolt Digs a Hole ♥ 1 This is cool! At first it felt impossible because I didn't realize I could jump, but once that clicked it made more sense. Cool to see more games using bevy (and ldtk). Fun game, and a charming robot character. Nice job!
