Oct 9 09:22:18 Defenders of the Crystal Skull ♥ 2 Nice entry! The graphics are really good and got me intrigued from the start, but the game felt too easy. Since you already have a menu system, I think it would have been worth it to parametrize the attack, speed and HP of the enemies and have a difficulty selection menu at the start. It's always tough to balance jam games, but this way you can just have three levels of balance and with some luck one of them is gonna feel right haha. I really liked the walking animation on the enemies, it's a little thing but it's really efficient. The attacks both from my minions and from the enemies were clear enough to me. I do wish Archer Skeletons were able to shoot over the holes in the terrain, would feel really cool. :) Really nice job on the audio as well! Again, very nice entry, confrats on making it!!
Oct 9 20:07:27 10h 45m Jar Life ♥ 0 Jeezus these last few levels were brutal! I got a measly score of 41 but I'm glad I made it to the end at least, I got pretty close to quitting to be honest. 😅 The game is gorgeous and the levels, besides being frustratingly difficult, were clever, and the audio was great. Lovely work!
Oct 9 22:18:11 2h 10m Tiny Apple ♥ 1 Really really cool! I loooove the sound effects, and the simple MSPaint-drawn style works so well it should be illegal imho. Really smart to do an idle game with this theme. I really wish I could get the game's window to stay on top of other programs so that it would be easier to actually do other stuff at the same time!
Oct 10 09:33:05 11h 14m Autumn Picnic ♥ 0 This is the cutest thing. It's short but oh so sweet. The art is really great, and I loved that the head took the color of the last thing eaten, and then that color would go down the body as you ate other stuff... \*Chef kiss\* And the sound design is really great as well. I do wish there was some music, but seeing as this is a compo game I totally understand why there isn't. 😄 Amazing entry, congrats!
Oct 10 15:07:14 5h 34m Beetle Tower ♥ 3 Really cool entry! I won on my second try. As others have mentionned, would have been great to have more difficulty options available, but also being able to move insects around with no other restrictions than doing it one at a time is quite OP. Still a very fun time, turning insects against each other is a pretty funny premise too. (albeit a bit morbid but let's not think too much about that 😂 ) The graphics are obviously amazing and the music and general sound design is great! Congrats to the whole team!!
Oct 11 11:08:28 20h 01m Zeus Needs You ♥ 2 Insane entry. This game oozes personality, it's extremely funny, the audio is great, the graphics are amazing. I did get stuck on Sun IV for a while and I kinda wished for a clue or something, but I figured it out in the end. Honestly incredible job, this should win the jam category imo.
Oct 17 16:13:33 149h 05m Like A Moth To A Podiatrist ♥ 1 Really nice entry! The game's main mechanic / the way to control the moths is really interesting, would love to see more done with it! Great job on the sound effects, and the graphics work really well too! Always nice to see Pico-8 games. :)
Oct 21 14:22:56 94h 09m Adelie - When We Were Young ♥ 1 Really cool! I scored 1270! I wish fish wouldn't turn into deathly traps when you take hits or drop them outside the box, as this makes the game's difficulty ramp up even faster when you start struggling. Maybe clearing up a few of the spikes and fishbones when you die could help solve this. The core gameplay itself is quite good and addictive, the graphics works really well, those baby seals are really cute, and audio is good as well! Really good work for a compo entry! Well done!
Oct 21 15:38:06 1h 15m Vox Regis ♥ 1 Sooo cool and absolutely hilarious! You did a great job with the graphics, they feel really gnarly (which I love) and the townscaper background town doesn't feel out of place at all with the rest of the game thanks to the pixelated look and limited palette. All around very well built, the gameplay itself was very engaging even if it felt like it could be pushed further. Currently besides final score there's not much consequence to being cautious and using many speeches for example. I finished my run with 11 speeches btw. The audio of the game was absolutely great, the random latin phrases made me laugh a lot, "Ludum Dare" in particular really got me. 😂 The little conversation at the start of the game was nice and short, gave me enough context to want to play the game seriously. Amazing work on this, great job!!
Oct 25 09:42:13 90h 04m Tiny Checkers ♥ 1 That was so cool!! I think the balancing is a little off as I didn't feel it was difficult for me to get to the very end, but this is a jam game after all, so I would say it's better like this than if it had been too difficult. 😄 For a compo entry this is extremely impressive, it feels like there's a lot of content and different strategies to go for, the visuals are great and the audio feels nice and complete. Thanks for the Shotgun King reference, I appreciate that it's the most OP piece as well hahahaha. 😂
