Oct 3 22:13:22 Puzzlebot ♥ 1 I unfortunately did not get it working using wine on Linux. It only showed the UI but everything else was black. But still I would like to thank you for participating in the Jam and congratulate you on the great background music.
Oct 3 22:52:16 38m 54s Fog Forest ♥ 2 Me and a good friend have been making our own engines as well. It really helps to learn how all the nitty gritty things in graphics work. (It also has the downside that simple things are hard and that tools need to be stable to be able to use them) Thanks for still submitting this. Hopefully the goal of combining all your experiments to a full game or a full game jam game get closer at the next ludum dare event. Keep up the good work.
Oct 3 23:14:36 22m 20s 10 SEC. P🌀RTAL ♥ 1 Great game. Simple in its essence, with nice puzzels. Some suggestions for improvements: Loading new levels and loading the game are a bit slow, with no indication it is loading. Puzzels are very limited in there options. This makes them veal lineair instead of explorative. Teaching the player it can shoot a portal on the sealing could forexample be done in a room where a portal can be placed on any wall. The player also has the option to clone itself many many additional times. This gives the game the feeling you are brute forcing all options instead of puzzeling. It comes down to "Make the player feel smart". When there is one place to place a portel it feels correct but it does not veal rewarding. When there are many places and a player finds once of them they think, haha I outsmarted this game hhihhii. Overall this was a really solid game with a lovely ascetic. The graphics look great. The small details, especially are really great (small shader details or wires that are hanging down from a platform). The sound effects are also really well done. They are soft and feel very coherent. They set the mood really well. The ending of a level also feels very natural where the game shows how you solved the level.
Oct 3 23:28:35 13m 59s 10 Seconds, 9 Lives ♥ 5 Great twist on the theme. It is also nice to see some PICO-8 games made for the JAM. Some small suggestions: the physics feels very much like ice. This is good for a ice level but a bit strange on grass. 9 levels is maybe a bit long and repetitive. With 9 lives you could maybe have increased the difficulty a bit more clearly based on how well players are doing. the pauses between levels could maybe be shortened based on how far you are with finishing levels to hype up the speed of the game even more. The hitbox of the player felt bigger then the looked like (but that is just wat is velt like and also a limitation of PICO-8) Overall a really nice game, simple enjoyable, nice sprites nice musics with nice small minigames.
Oct 3 23:41:17 12m 42s Bygone Melodies ♥ 1 The animations are really great 🐸🐸🐸 Where you would expect just a few animation frame are the animations really solid. The ritthems where for me a bit hard to follow. Maybe a small indication on the bottom when you are supposed to click on the button would have helped. The art was just really solid. The suspensions of suddenly seeing everyone moving was really magical 🐸
Oct 3 23:54:13 12m 56s Boar Breakout DX ♥ 2 Nice game. It was a disappointment to see Unity WebGL popup after seeing the great boxart. but the game was still very solid. Great mood. There where some glitches. Hitting an edge of an platform made you fall through it sometimes. The level transitions where a bit slow and the physics was also very slippery. But overall a nice entry. Thanks for making it and hopefully a future game can also actually be played on a GameBoy Color ;)
