| Oct 4 13:59:41 | Slimerush | ♥ 1 | I didn't understand why a warrior turned into a building, then I read the instructions. :D - Cool pixel art! Really. - Please don't hide the mouse if you're not locking it to the center of the screen, it makes it really hard to guess where it is! :( - We should 100% be able to damage slimes by swinging the mouse, because it looks cool. It would make the hitboxes easier to understand too, since there's a clear red line. - Slimes should blink or turn red for a short while when they are hit, so we know which one we hit. - We also need ranged attacks! Getting close to the enemies is a guaranted death sometimes! - 10 seconds is a very short time, we can't really move from a place to another without them swapping first, so we're better off waiting at the same place the entire game. Yeah, I know, that's the theme, but still! - Speed, attack and health bonuses are cool, but the score bonus is pretty useless. Who wants a bonus that doesn't increase the fun but just a number at the end!? (Also, please don't give me the choice between 0-2 health and 1-2 health :|) - The nothing bonus is however very important, please keep it. Overall, a pretty cool start mostly missing quality of life things, which is normal of a jam. :D | |
| Oct 4 17:05:21 | 3h 05m | Weed War | ♥ 0 | So, we basically have a tower defense, with plants instead of towers and weeds instead of waves of enemies. :D - A way to read the instructions while playing would be nice, I forgot what the plants did pretty quickly. :'( - Some visual effect to understand which plant is attacked by which weed would be great and avoid the need for instructions entirely. - How do we get more fertilizer? We seem to get some over time, but it's not very clear. - Maybe add a timer or a progress bar before the next action appens. - The paint-like graphics are pretty basic, but they work well enough and the cactus is cute. - Relaxing music~... but no sound effects. :( Overall, a game with a working gameplay that could benefit from more visuals and balancing! |
| Oct 7 17:27:02 | 72h 21m | 10HEAD | ♥ 2 | - Graphics are cute, nothing to change. ^.^ - Even tho the music doesn't loop perfectly, it's not bad at all and fits a puzzle game! - The game seems way too easy, as long as we don't get very bad colors we can go on forever. We don't even need to push most of the time. - Well, we _could_ go on forever, but there's a memory leak of some kind, the game gets slower and slower over time, until we get the white board shown in a comment above. - Changing the color of the old pieces is a bad idea in a game where we need to match the same colors. I wasn't sure sometimes if what I was looking at was old red or pink. D: - The 4-match when it's a square is actually a good idea, even if unintended, because squares are a bit more difficult to fit. Overall a fun puzzle game that just needs more difficulty and a few minor fixes! |
| Oct 13 23:33:16 | 150h 06m | LASER BEAM! | ♥ 1 | - Very nice sound effect for the laser! - I like the fact the player is slow and rotates slowly, it gives the impression the weapon is very heavy but very powerful. - The windows don't need to be random, some runs are much easier because all windows are in the same corner. - However, more and more windows could appear (or break) over time, making the game harder and harder? - Zombies should collide, not merge into each other! :D - Obviously, as everyone said, we need a way to improve our weapon, even if it still fires every 10 seconds. |
