Apr 23 01:28:10 Modern Art Critic Hero ♥ 1 Pretty neat, I got a couple laughs out of it!
Apr 23 02:40:01 1h 11m CCG Shoot 'em Up ♥ 1 I love the idea of slowing down bullet hells. The gameplay in this one was pretty well-executed!
Apr 23 02:48:50 8m 49s Felocity ♥ 1 Nice game. It feels fairly polished! Fun concept, too.
Apr 23 02:58:34 9m 44s Puck Off ♥ 1 Wow this is really fun! It's more of a final game than a game jam entry. Very nice!
Apr 23 03:06:32 7m 58s Spacecards ♥ 1 Cool concept, fun game, polished UI. The laser card was really fun! 2D space shooters are always good. If this turned into a full game, maybe the card system could be a little more balanced. I got a "destroy all bullets on screen" card right after "laser", for instance.
Apr 23 03:13:19 6m 47s Travis Beacon Teaches Fighting ♥ 1 I liked this lot. it has a good amount of polish, the music is great, and I was caught off-guard by what appears to be messages in the letters haha. The difficulty spikes pretty hard by the third fight, though.
Apr 23 03:26:37 13m 18s Zoom: A Racing Text Adventure ♥ 0 The theme is fun. The text is nice and descriptive, although it gets quite repetitive. Slightly spoilers: ~~the text near the end was very fun. Also, I found a cheating method for most of the race: it seems links that are associated with "empty road" turn slightly purple, so instead of reading to find out which direction to go, I jst looked at the links.~~
Apr 23 03:46:39 20m 02s Hook That Fish! ♥ 1 I liked this a lot! It's got a few things going for it. The sections where you navigate the hook to the fish remind me of the puzzle spinoffs that are popular now (Hitman Go, Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle, etc). They're challenging and well-made, in my opinion. I thought that catching the fish by doing key combinations was a good idea. It's not terribly challenging, but mix it with the game timer and it's pretty fun. Overall, I think this is a pretty cool game!
Apr 23 04:16:47 30m 08s Pretty Crowded Dungeon ♥ 2 Neat game! I love the graphics, good job on those. The sound effects are simple, but they work well. I assume the levels are randomly generated? Some levels tend to be much harder than others, and from what I can tell the difficulty doesn't progress. I didn't seem to come across any broken levels, though. But the best part about the game is how well it fits the theme. It's a rogue-like dungeon crawler where you're tasked with grabbing a key and leaving, but your movement is straight out of a puzzle game.
Apr 23 04:58:27 41m 40s PE@CE ♥ 1 This game is excellent. It has loads of interconnected levels, a beautiful aesthetic, lots of polish, and it's very fun. It feels like a real game rather than something made in a game jam. I highly recommend it
Apr 23 17:10:54 12h 12m ASM Hell ♥ 0 I've got to say, this is definitely the most atmospheric ASM simulator I've ever played (it may also be the only but hey). Mixing that idea with a dungeon sim fits pretty well, I say. The music isn't bad, and it does help set the mood. It's well-executed and polished. The UI was easy to use and understand, except that it would've been cool to go to the next level automatically instead of having to type it in every time. I assume that's part of the concept though. It felt good to accomplish a level, and made me feel kind of smart, but the actual gameplay was mostly about counting tiles and remembering which number goes which direction. I only finished two levels. But after all, it's a game about going to hell and being forced to write machine code. I think this is a fairly well-made game that's aware of its tedium.
Apr 24 14:11:28 21h 00m ACCIDENTAL EXISTENTIAL ♥ 2 The sound design was top-notch! That's an interesting part of your game to prioritize in a game jam. It paid off very well. You managed to take a very simple control scheme and make it work across three different game concepts, good design there! The games themselves were great. They had a strong, effective atmosphere that you can't help but be sucked into. They also have a high chance of personally resonating with people, and they explore some rather dark themes. I don't really understand the third game, and it seemed really short -- it was over in about 5 seconds for me. I think it's my fault for not really getting it. But it would've been cool to be able to interact with that game the way I did with the others, also. Overall, this is an excellent game. Very good job! I hope to see more games from you :)
Apr 24 18:00:28 3h 49m Flappy Typing ♥ 0 I'm impressed that you made a Commodore game and uploaded an emulator for us to play. That's really cool! I had the same issue as the user above, where I needed to refresh to make my keystrokes register properly, but that's not a big deal. The difficulty was too high for me to get very far, but I really liked what I played.
May 5 17:45:01 263h 44m Story Collabs ♥ 1 Cool game idea! I'm sure a very interesting story will come out of this.
May 8 15:06:38 69h 21m Witch's Escape ♥ 1 Cool game! I think there's a lot of potential in this genre combination. The graphics and audio were really well-done. The gameplay itself was a little slow and simple, but it was fun enough. If you go farther with this project, I suggest leaving less space between obstacles.
