| Aug 24 02:22:00 | Razed | Lotta good stuff going on here: graphics, audio, controls, planet generation, missiles. I'm not sure where the skill is though. Is there a way to do better or worse? | |
| Aug 24 13:24:00 | 11h 02m | Protect the Egg | Very cool. I like the unusual control scheme. I like the protect-the-egg dynamic. Just great gameplay choices here. Fun! |
| Aug 24 18:59:00 | 5h 35m | Lovers on a Park Bench | How bizarre. But it's also oddly affecting. I like it. |
| Aug 24 19:05:00 | 6m 00s | Eye of the Basilisk | Okay, yeah, this is actually amazingly engrossing and fun. Simple yet clever. Hagwarts—nice. |
| Aug 24 19:06:00 | 1m 00s | Kaiju A-Go-Go | Excellent! I enjoyed the theme and the mechanics. |
| Aug 24 19:10:00 | 4m 00s | PokEscape: Magicrap's Stealthy Journey for Survival & Gyrodeuce | Wow! Definitely a cut above the average. Interesting gameplay mechanic—I'm the hungriest creature I've ever played. Good thing I'm vegetarian. Hilarious grumbly tummy "hunger" noise. I didn't quite get the "hiding" mechanic though—really just seemed more like dodging, since the poke masters always saw me no matter what I did (it seemed). |
| Aug 24 19:27:00 | 17m 00s | Delicious Cortex | Incredible, simply incredible as always. Five stars all the way. |
| Aug 25 01:43:00 | 6h 16m | (You are the) monster gaiden | Hard to beat the art. Gameplay... well it's a bit on the lean side. Delightful entry though. |
| Aug 25 01:48:00 | 5m 00s | RGBlob | Superb stuff. Neat mechanic, nice art, good music... this is excellent! |
| Aug 25 01:55:00 | 7m 00s | Goomba Simulator 2015 | Ridiculously, ridiculously clever. Funny. Fun. Awesome job. And hopefully Nintendo will get the joke and won't bring a lot suit against you. |
| Aug 25 21:47:00 | 19h 52m | Don't Steal My Junk | I'm not getting much feedback on whether I'm hitting things, and I think this really robs the game of a lot of its fun. Great art! |
| Aug 25 21:49:00 | 2m 00s | Monster in a spaceship | I really like the concept of chasing people around to eat them—very much Pac Man in reverse and very monstery. |
| Aug 25 22:10:00 | 21m 00s | Dude, Stop | One of the best. Hilarious. Fun. McPixely or maybe Wariowarish in a good way. |
| Aug 25 22:12:00 | 2m 00s | Bad Kaiju Ju | Love the retro feel. Not the most riveting game I've ever played, but major points for look-and-feel. |
| Aug 25 22:22:00 | 10m 00s | Dive Demon Dive | Yep, one of the best. A snappy variant of the gravity-adjustment concept. Terrific fun. |
| Aug 25 22:33:00 | 11m 00s | You are the Monster | The screen is flashing! Am I hitting or being hit! The story screen and kit screen are impressive, but I couldn't make heads or tails of the actual gameplay. |
| Aug 26 22:41:00 | 24h 08m | Out West | Terrific mood. Nice presentation. Good fun. |
| Sep 2 16:42:00 | 162h 01m | Crystal Rumble | Great art, but the gameplay isn't coming together for me. I don't have much of a reason to move here rather than there or to hit this rather than that. What's the difference between a good player and a poor player? |
| Sep 2 17:50:00 | 1h 08m | I am the clicky monster | At first I was like, what the heck? I'm clicking on a thing to kill it. But then after the first monster when I'm given a choice, the cleverness of the game came through to me. Cool idea. |
| Sep 2 17:53:00 | 3m 00s | Jeremy Corbyn's Space Tory Destroyer | Yep, that's bizarre but well on its way toward being really fun. I think I could use some danger though. The flying is great. |
| Sep 2 17:58:00 | 5m 00s | Monster Government | Awesome concept—loved it. I think the cards on the left should scroll smoothly rather than jumping; their overall motion is unclear. I couldn't drop a card after I picked it up. This is an LD game I'd actually like to play more of. Great job! |
| Sep 2 18:00:00 | 2m 00s | Monster Simulator 2015 | This right here is what Ludum Dare is all about. It's not the funnest game I've ever played but good for a laugh and it must have been a blast to make. Good job! |
| Sep 2 18:03:00 | 3m 00s | Crazy Monster Drivers | High score 171.5. Good fun! |
| Sep 2 18:09:00 | 6m 00s | The Kraken | On my keyboard the Z key is next in line from X, C, and V. Why did you choose Y? Great artwork BTW. |
| Sep 2 18:12:00 | 3m 00s | Tales of the Memory Dragon | Terrific art. I didn't find the gameplay terribly appealing. |
| Sep 2 18:17:00 | 5m 00s | Primary objective | Awesome adventure style. Good stuff. |
| Sep 2 18:21:00 | 4m 00s | U no take Loot! | I'm gonna say that this is probably the funnest LD33 game I've played apart, perhaps, from deepnight's. Terrific concept really well executed. Awesome! |
| Sep 2 18:25:00 | 4m 00s | Melody Muncher | Brilliant. Definitely belongs in that class of games made by clearly skilled people able to bring a game to within shooting distance of "a real game" in a very short space of time. Terrific. |
| Sep 2 18:30:00 | 5m 00s | Grave | Terrific. Simply wonderful art style combined with solid gameplay and good diversity. Love it. |
| Sep 3 09:14:00 | 14h 44m | KaijuKrush | This feels like a wasted opportunity. The premise is cool, the art is great, and the first level anticipates some gameplay. But the uniform rows of houses in the following levels (I played just two more) destroy any sense of choice. I go down, I chomp. Where's the skill? Where's the game? It's too bad, because the presentation is great and it feels like a game is right on the tip of this game's tongue—but it doesn't spit it out. |
| Sep 3 09:24:00 | 10m 00s | Monster Garten | Love the art. Not bad gameplay either. |
| Sep 3 09:28:00 | 4m 00s | Arachnoid | Truly awesome. You got some very difficult controls working very well. Amazing level of polish. Definitely one of the best games. |
| Sep 3 09:32:00 | 4m 00s | A Beautiful Day to DIE | Awesome concept, and fun. I played several stages and enjoyed it. |
| Sep 3 09:39:00 | 7m 00s | Good Luck Gardener | Terrific art. Like many others I struggled with the controls—took me a minute to find "the button." Then I planted some things and...nothing happened. It's a shame—I want to like this a lot. |
| Sep 3 09:44:00 | 5m 00s | Drain | This is very promising but I'm definitely confused. I see there are links between the birds and the doors, and it has to do with their "health bars", but the connections are far from obvious. Maybe that's the point, but it doesn't feel like an intended mystique—just confusing. |
| Sep 3 09:48:00 | 4m 00s | Terabyte | This is a great start. Already very fun. Just needs more time. I really like the way you can turn enemy bullets into a good thing by absorbing them. |
| Sep 3 09:50:00 | 2m 00s | Lick & Spoil | Wait, so what's the goal here? I like the mechanic but what am I trying to do? |
| Sep 4 01:29:00 | 15h 39m | Corruption-5 | Superb stuff—one of the very best. Great story, great graphics, great lighting, great music, great sfx. It seems a silly thing, but I think the slow elevators were maybe the most obvious detraction from the "fun" of the game. Other than that it was a perfect game in miniature. |
| Sep 5 21:18:00 | 43h 49m | Monster Destroy Things | Superb. I actually had fun with thus (unlike some entries). Great job with the large number of objects in their normal and destructed states. |
| Sep 5 21:29:00 | 11m 00s | Monster Frogger | Terrific stuff. I played this one probably longer than any other so far. The music, I'm afraid, gets old. Other than that it's good fun and very nicely polished. |
| Sep 5 22:09:00 | 40m 00s | Hydra Confusion | Simple awesome concept and art. |
| Sep 9 21:10:00 | 95h 01m | Monstre de Coiffure | Maybe the best game from LD33. Pat yourselves on your green, disgusting, pimply backs. |
| Sep 14 16:32:00 | 115h 22m | GH4ST | Superb start. I really want to play this for real—too bad you ran out of time. |
| Sep 14 16:38:00 | 6m 00s | Mobs, Inc. | Brilliant. Good fun. Nice round presentation. Want more! |
| Sep 14 17:15:00 | 37m 00s | Some Knights Left | I'm not quite sure what the appeal is here. The art is nice. The concept is sound. But it's an extremely simple game, and fundamentally I don't see that it requires much skill. Of any game I always ask: what's the difference between a skillful player and a poor player? In this case, you walk around and bump into little guys. I'm not sure that a good player would be much more successful than a weak one. Where's the fun? |
| Sep 14 17:19:00 | 4m 00s | We Missed You! | Love the graphics style and GTA gameplay. Superb! |
