| Dec 19 05:46:00 | Fur Ever Alone | neat idea! just wish the controls were a bit more responsive. | |
| Dec 19 06:33:00 | 47m 00s | Loneliness | hmm, seems the windows binary doesnt work for me, the ground is black and I keep bumping up against something whichever direction I walk. It seems to segfault when I close it too, I'm running on Windows XP, and my Graphics Card supports OpenGL 2.1 extensions. Does the game require 3.0 extensions? <br/>Anyways, I'll rate when you get a working binary up, otherwise, I have to say, it looks good! |
| Dec 19 06:49:00 | 16m 00s | AL One - Artificial Lifeform #001 | Unfortunately, doesnt seem to work on my machine, spits out an error about a missing .dll file and crashes. Maybe you forgot to package a .dll? seems to be related to something called OIC, I'm running Windows XP, I'll rate it if you fix it. |
| Dec 19 06:51:00 | 2m 00s | People | Good use of the theme, very basic though, and not much to it, also couldn't help but notice that you can run on top of tables, seems to me you should collide with them. |
| Dec 19 06:54:00 | 3m 00s | Alone Together | This one I really do like, it looks good, and sounds good, the only thing I notice is that it isn't very challenging, I didn't find myself really needing to look at everyone's view cones, I just waited for a room to empty and mashed the kiss button. |
| Dec 19 06:56:00 | 2m 00s | Guy | I wanted to like this one, really I did, but unfortunatley there are far too many cheap-shots in the gameplay, many of the obstacles are too random, and the collision is much too precise, meaning that small gaps were incredibly difficult to jump into. I like the art style in principle, but it kind of degenerates at the end. |
| Dec 19 07:00:00 | 4m 00s | Adventures of One | I'm impressed with the scope of this one, even if it is derivative, pulling off a tactical RPG in 2 days is nothing to sneeze at, but it seemed like it was impossible to make even a dent in the monster forces unless you just grind your way through. Music is actually pretty good, and I didn't see Lisa coming at all. It probably wasn't a priority, but the art is very rough, it seems you might have been better served with more simplistic or impressionistic art. |
| Dec 19 07:04:00 | 4m 00s | Soap | This one was actually pretty cool, unfortunatley some of the puzzles (ie the second) became unwinnable much too easily, and it became a matter of luck whether or not the people would fly off the edge. Appearance wise, I like the characters, but the environment isn't much to look at though. I liked your interpertation of the theme, and the gameplay had potential to be quite interesting if some more time was put into it, maybe you should expand this into a full game. |
| Dec 19 07:22:00 | 18m 00s | I Am A Ninja | I really like this one, the gameplay is fun, very difficult at times, but not too much that it ruins the experience. The art style works really well too, my only complaint is a lack of sound, but otherwise, a very slick game. |
| Dec 19 07:36:00 | 14m 00s | Robotic Surrogation | Controls were definitley a stumbling block when i first started playing, but they actually work fairly well, also, maybe it's just me, but the level design is very hit and miss, some give you lots of cover to work with and space out the enemies, others just seem like a maze full of blobs of enemies. The gameplay is very fun though, once you get used the controls, art is utilitarian, but still looks very good. |
| Dec 19 07:48:00 | 12m 00s | Duckling | A fun little platformer, I couldn't get past the screen where you have to cross the pit with the three feathers. But the mechanics are solid and the art is charming enough, sounds are a bit loud though, in general it's a solid game. |
| Dec 19 17:54:00 | 10h 06m | AloneWithZzZobmies | Looks pretty good, but you move really slowly, it kind of makes it laborious to play. Also, after I find the first zombie I just kind of fall halfway through the ground after a few seconds, is that me dieing? |
| Dec 19 18:08:00 | 14m 00s | This Charming Man | An interesting idea, but the game is pretty laggy on my machine(windows xp). Also it seems like there should be some sort of feedback when you might be close to turning friends into enemies, it kind of seems random when it happens. |
| Dec 19 18:23:00 | 15m 00s | Purple is the Best Colour | Hmm, if this game was designed to work with flying both ships at once it could have been interesting, but it doesn't seem that way and comes out kind of generic, also does not fit the theme unfortunatley. |
| Dec 19 18:38:00 | 15m 00s | Never Alone Hotline | I really liked this one, it hit the theme perfectly, had a great mood and was pretty well written despite translation errors. Definitley recommended. |
| Dec 19 18:45:00 | 7m 00s | Below | hmm, XNA problems for me too, It says "no suitable graphics card found". Im using an intel graphics card on my laptop though, so that might have something to do with it. |
| Dec 19 18:52:00 | 7m 00s | 10 Yards Alone | A solid entry, very difficult though. Graphics are utilitarian, but serve their purpose, sound is pretty good, voice-over is a little strange though. |
| Dec 19 19:01:00 | 9m 00s | Alone in the Mansion | Not a bad little game, it would have been nice to have some indication of which zombies move faster and which door gets you out of the floor when it's opened. Jump physics are a little floaty, but nothing that can't be gotten used to. Overall a solid entry. |
| Dec 19 20:32:00 | 1h 31m | Alone vs Monster(s) | I'm not even sure this is legal for the compo, it seems like the source textures were taken from the internet. As a game, it doesn't really work, the jump physics are infuriating, and I get stuck on walls way too easily. I will admit, having to wait at megaupload doesn't make me feel charitable, but this game simply doesn't function well at all. |
| Dec 19 21:18:00 | 46m 00s | Welcome to TheCity | This game truly is something, I wish I had more time to play and finish it, but alas, I only got as far as the second terminal, but I am definitley interested to play more. The controls are a bit wonky, but the atmosphere really shines through, and the visual style is delightfully surreal and bleak. Also, props on developing your own 3d engine, colour me impressed. |
| Dec 19 21:32:00 | 14m 00s | Lonely Tennis | Yeah, game isn't loading for me either, I'll come back to this one if you fix it. |
| Dec 19 21:42:00 | 10m 00s | Space Wrench | Nothing terribly impressive, but it works and the gameplay is kind of fun. |
| Dec 19 23:01:00 | 1h 19m | Diamond Darkness | Looks pretty good, I like the shadow effect, but it would have been nice to be able to see a small radius around you, because its hard to get a sense of where you are. Otherwise, theres not much to this game, sometimes the randomly generated maps can be a little unbalanced. |
| Dec 19 23:21:00 | 20m 00s | Last breath | This game is good, really good, the pixel art cubist style is really awesome, the gameplay has a nice twist to it, and the freeform format makes for a very interesting experience. The only issue is that on my computer it's a little laggy, which is probably because im running this on a laptop. I really like that you can cling to edges, it adds a new dimension to the platforming. This is definitely one of my favourites so far. |
| Dec 20 02:34:00 | 3h 13m | Alone with the Enemy | This is a pretty fun game, the controls are tight, and the level design is pretty good. I got to say, though, I was pleasantly surprised with what you find halfway through, but I won't spoil it for anyone. |
