LD28 — You Only Get One

YOGO RocketFist by _Rilem 2013-12-18T01:27:00

Really, really good. Graphics are excellent, music excellent, gameplay simple but still fun and a new mechanic as far as I know. Simply excellent.

The hunter by MrTedders 2013-12-17T16:22:00

This was an interesting one. Pretty unique - I like the soundwave mechanic as both exploration and detection. The sound and theming were well done, with the text popping in appropriately. One of the enemies appears to throw a sulk and turn into a huge storm of concentric circles though!

Doge for one, one for Doge by megaelliott 2013-12-17T04:30:00

I was not expecting the music to be as amusing as it was, nor was I expecting the vibrating comic sans announcements to keep being funny.

This was actually surprisingly awesome!

ONE JUMP by tinyangrycrab 2013-12-17T14:53:00

If you look carefully at the player you will notice that his head has a dash indicator and his feet a jump indicator! We probably should have made that clearer >_>

ONE JUMP by tinyangrycrab 2013-12-17T15:17:00

Thinking about it, you are absolutely right about the slo mo. The more I think about it the more it was probably something the player should have controlled with a charge rather than being passive. It's super feast and famine atm, as well as being unclear at low values.

I suspect the landing on an enemy thing is because you continue to gain speed while in contact with them, but the colliders stop you moving. The moment you move off them it will resume with all that accumulated velocity! Definitely something we can change by adding the enemy type to the list of things that can ground you. Thanks for the feedback!

OK, getting a lot of votes for weird feeling controls or floatiness. I'm guessing it's the overall slow feeling of the jump arc - maybe turning up the player gravity but adding a terminal velocity and increasing jump force. Will play around with it, thanks for the feedback!

Defusement of the Pyong by Kvisle 2013-12-18T17:43:00

Fantastic technical achievement, but sadly missing a few vital elements to be scored on things like audio and innovation!

Still would give 6/5 just for doing it in webgl!
