I really liked the game it was challenging but also seemed very fair.
I was drowning a lot ;D This game teached me never go to the beach, unless you need a coconuts and not afraid to die. Music are cool though.
The game is okay. But i love the music
Challenging game indeed! Good work for 48 hours.
Some suggestions/thoughts:
* Because the island parts fall faster than the player, I couldn't manage to jump of it when it fell (or at least not at this Linux-computer?). Maybe this was intended? My only working strategy was random jumping around or trying to stay near a bought item.
* I did not like that I had to go to the shop every new try to get things, which does not encourage to 'quickly try another time'.
* You could consider to make things like 'shop'/'retry'/'start' more visible clickable by changing the cursor to a pointer on hovering and/or other visual feedback.
Other than that, good entry with very solid music. :)
Music rocks. I think collisions were a bit problematic. I had that problen on somewhere before. You should make the characters feet part circular or triangular at least. Or it can stuck on same leveled platforms some times. Besides this nice shop and items to discover!

The game was pretty cool. And I really liked the music. I think my favorite part was with the Jetpack as I was able to really counter those sudden drop offs with five blocks disappearing at once. Definitely felt awesome when that happend! Lasted for 109 seconds before I drowned.
