When I was young I had absolutely no idea what POKEs and PEEKs did on my VIC-20 or Atari 800. If only I'd known the possibilities back then!
I don't know if you were going for function or humor, but I'm leaning towards the latter, since it's fun to put in various things and see how you can affect the meaning of the result.
