This was very confusing. I finished the game but I'm still not quite sure how to cast spells. I kept hitting different element combos and sometimes it resulted in a spell but most of the time it didn't. It was also very unclear what the objective was. Maybe just surviving for long enough?
Note: seems to play on chrome, but I got stuck on firefox.
Interesting idea, perhaps would benefit from an itch link. I keep clicking out of the box, since I can't full screen in ludum dare.
Hey so the objective is to survive long enough, sorry for not including that in the tutorial (we didn't have time to playtest :c)
The spells were not explained well either yeah but there are invalid combinations... like in the tutorial said, you need an element, and a shape for a spell to work at minimum. We should've made that absolutely clear!
Yeah we exported it for Chrome... Not sure if there is a universal web build option (Chromium?)
The screen size issue, I personally wasn't aware of the submission format lol so we didn't test it on web until the submission time, my bad about that as well
Good simple game ! It’s sad that you have so few votes, but it’s not a bad game, there is a good feeling. A bit short, and the objects that fall on the ground or the combination of elements is a mystery but it’s good. The text at the beginning is blurred. The stats bars are not clear and sometimes there are choices to make, but that doesn’t always give anything.
A better tutorial, more information visually, and fix bugs would be a good start. But thats a good first entry for Ld jam. Good job !
