I played Minesweeper A LOT as a kid on my Windows ME machine and still had some muscle memory. At first I missed the middle mouse button which would open all surrounding cells if the cell you clicked on had already had all mines flagged. But this and no timer made me slow down and think, and I remembered this game is also a puzzle. Thinking for a few minutes looking at the board, and finally finding the only safe move is very satisfying
