@rinzu: Sorry, I lost so much time to technical issues that I've decided to go with the 'extra' category this time instead so that I can take my time 🥲 I've updated the submission now. Hope to have it up this week!
Unfortunately the links don't work so I couldn't play :(
I'm still holding out, hoping there will appear a game :fingers_crossed:
@local-minimum: Thank you! It's finally uploaded! 🥲 Caught the flu too just to make things worse.
This was really cute and put together really well! It's always nice see another one of your entries,, nicely done!
Ouch that sucks getting the flu.
The game turned out great though. A very cozy, casual little walking sim. In particular I liked the postcards and the scripted events with the animals were really cute.
Don't really have much to complain about. Maybe it could have said what button to use to drop stuff somewhere when I was holding a rock prematurely or if I could have picked up a twig and dropped the rock with the same action.
The puzzles were simple, yet satisfying. And especially with the interactions with the animals as a great reward after solving the puzzle. So overall a very good game!

Ha! Glad to see you were able to complete a game. I was wondering what you'd come up with. I also caught the flu (or a bad cold), but fortunately that was after our game was submitted.
It's an interesting puzzle. I'm not really good at puzzle games like this, but with time and patience I was able to figure it out. I love how the creatures reveal a heart and behave differently each time they are helped.
There is a bit of room for improvement with camera controls. For some reason, the camera kept panning to the right in the built-in LD version (the one above). I didn't have this problem in the itch.io version, but the controls were a bit too sensitive — even a slight mouse movement moved the camera too much, I felt. Otherwise, everything seemed to work smoothly. The graphics are well done, and in combination with the sound, the game does create the right mood, the mood of being on some mysterious tropical island somewhere. The sun on the horizon and the cinematic sequences are nice touches. Also, the voice acting at the beginning is well done — is that your own voice? Just curious. Anyway, nice work, once again, and very imaginative.

@jawdan, @local-minimum, @gamebuilder:
Thank you! Some good feedback here. Been stuck lying down and coughing for a couple of days, I'll make sure to play and rate your games before the time is up but probably tomorrow at the earliest :') Hope your flu hasn't been as debilitating, gamebuilder!
Thanks for the video! Bummer that you got some crab pathfinding bugs, especially at the end. If I'd had the time I'd've just baked/hardcoded the movement for that sequence. Navmesh stuff has been a real issue for this one, lots of fiddling and hacks… :(
As for camera sensitivity, there are controls to change it, I'd just forgotten to put them on the page, sorry. Done now. There's also a key to unlock/relock the cursor, maybe that would've fixed the panning. The voices are from zapsplat, already had them from the LD55 game so I threw them in.
Thank you Ava! I'm feeling better but I'm a bit worried about you though. Get plenty of rest. Don't feel under pressure to play & rate if you're not feeling up to it — there's no hurry.
And I forgot to mention, I appreciate the heartfelt message of your game (including the title). I've been thinking about it — it's a nice contrast to all the fighting games out there.
