Great first entry to LudumDare - I had some initial problems figuring out how to select workers and assign them, I think flipping the colors of selected states, and non-selected would be more intuitive, as a dark color is often used as off/non-selected. Also visualizing crew-states would help communicating the internal state of the simulation and aiding with the spaceship commander fantasy. Just a small text-field with "John is on his way to inspect the FTL" or "Amanda is repairing the torpedos". The graphics were servicable but a little low-res at times, but maybe that was the aesthetics you were going for.
This game has a lot of tutorial. I don't mind, but most people may be turned off by the length and complexity. The mechanics are very solid. The visuals were pretty good, especially perspective-wise, but they seemed a tad simple. The audio was not mixed well at all, and some sounds were a lot louder than others. The ambience was not un-realistic though. Overall I enjoyed the game. I think it needs work in the A/V dept, but the coding is solid. Thank you for the experience <3

Nice entry! I like the core concept a lot. Some improvements for the UI may be in order, especially so the buttons look more like buttons. Furthermore, I think it would be nice to see the assignment of the engineers in a list or something similar so I can see how their engineers a distributed.
Furthermore, I don't know if it was intended, but I never had power issues even with all systems running at max power, so I never really used the first screen.
Anyways, good entry and neat game!
