Nice game, cool pixel art and music. Sometimes it was pretty hard to find the recharge girl and the 10s were way too short to go and defend. In the end, a pretty good strategy was to just stomp the snails and get healed, because that was close enough to the mushroom.
Cute artstyle and sounddesign! I only have trouble killing everything in time. 10 seconds is a bit to short for defending the mushroom, so I am just always searching for the girl but dying on the way. ):
Lovely graphics - as you pointed out the physics can stick a bit (or result in you falling through the floor and walking around unseen offscreen) :smile: Concept is good but it's really hard - he's still got energy to jump but he can't brush away a snail with a sword - seems a little limiting. Played it several times and by the time I'd found the person that supplies energy and made it back to the mushroom, I was back out of energy and couldn't defend anything. [EDIT] Wait this is a clone of the LD39 entry? char and graphics mostly from that?
Lol what did I play? what is yennefer and triss do there? why do I have to smash yen to get energy and smash triss to get health ok bro nice game! I like :laughing:

I really enjoyed this game. I like the graphics, simple and effective. Nice game.
Physics were a bit wonky (I fell through the floor), but you already called that out. Cute art, especially liked the snails flying toward the screen.
Having to recharge every 10 seconds felt like too much. Maybe it should only affect spells, but not sword swings? Alternatively you could have some sort of stamina gauge that depletes more for magic than sword swings so you don't have to grab _every_ recharge, but still have the recharge change places every 10 seconds.
@ninjavitis thank you for the review, i'll think about what i can do with recharges. I tried to get the current jam theme, but it looks that 10 seconds interval of activity for such kind of game is really too short for comfort gameplay.
the "take 3 hits then go refresh life" strategy seems to be working fine for me. cute graphics (and not so cute ending of the day)
The graphics are nice but as another commenter pointed out they seem to all be from your LD 39 entry?? The gameplay was pretty rough, I kept getting trapped in terrain.
@picttarge @tattomoosa yes, this is a pretty old sprites pack which i drew several years ago during LD39 and still using in game jams and prototypes. JAM rules allow to use any legal sprites and codebase, so, it is not a problem, i think.
Cool game after all. I enjoyed playing it! 🤗
