It's really good! The enemies were difficult.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Don't Freeze

It's really good! The enemies were difficult.
Cool idea! I like the challenge involved in deciding whether to lock yourself down to chopping a tree or fighting monsters.
Some feedback:
- It would be good to be able to move diagonally. Eg pressing south and west at the same time would move south-west. There a [tutorial on doing that here (option 1, though you don't need a KinematicBody)](https://kidscancode.org/godot_recipes/2d/topdown_movement/) - It's pretty challenging, even on easy mode! - Feels a bit slow in the early stages, could default movement be a little faster? - Some audio and/or visual feedback when enemies are getting close to the fire might be helpful to the player. I was often off farming trees and an enemy had snuck in from a corner of the screen, I didn't know it was there until it reached the fire.
Overall I had fun! Great game.
Cool dark atmosphere. Nice gameplay. :thumbsup:
@waysneighborgo2 thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
@jordwest Thank you for taking the time to write detailed feedback! Glad you had fun :thumbsup:
@mixon00 thank you, i'm happy you liked it!
Nice little game. Delaying the fire to extinguish is a nice version of the theme. It reminds me Don't starve together.
Walking still feels a bit rough because you can't run diagonally. But otherwise I had a lot of fun playing :D
Nice game, a way to move diagonally would be nice, but overall great game, especially for a compo submission, good job!
@julienlussiez thanks, i was definitely stylistically by don't starve a little :>
@darwyn thanks for the feedback, walking diagonally was definitely an oversight. Glad you still had fun!
@redsti thanks, definitely messed up a little with the walking mechanics (i'm a little surprised i didn't catch that during testing). Happy that you enjoyed my game nonetheless!
Cool idea. The atmosphere of the game was really good!
Fits the theme very well! :smiley: The artwork is cool and I love the atmosphere!
