I love the animation when the chicken is jumping :D Are there some more little eggs? I just found one. I also managed to jump off the left big white block and end in nowhere land :D It's small, but I got the idea :thumbsup:

@helen Thank you!! A small egg should spawn at a random position on the map whenever you collect one small egg! And yeah I should have made sure you can't jump off the left block haha :D

Nice job, especially for the first time! And congratulation on your first game!
First good things: - The jumping and character movement feels fine, which is not an easy task to do in a platformer (trust me I played a lot of platformers, where jumping was quite bad) - Art style is nice. I like it. - Game loop is good, but maybe should be a bit longer.
Now, some simple suggestions for the future: - adding some obstacles (even simple) will add a lot to the game, since player would have not only focused on collecting eggs but also to avoid obstacles. - An explanation, what the player should do, would be a welcome addition. You can add it here, on your game description (you are allowed to change this description as many times as you want, as far as I know).
Since you don't have Sound effects and music in your game, you should remove Audio category from rantings. Now, I think is too late, but next time, when you create a game for Ludum Dare, you can remove almost any category you do not need (not qualifies to) when you register your game for Ludum Dare.
I got 7 points as my best score.
I only got up to five points, but I enjoyed my time. There was one egg spawn I couldn't get to. When it spawns below the left upper platform. I can't jump high enough! Were those top ones supposed to spawn on top of the platform? This is an impressive little game for only a few hours and in a language/codebase you're not solid on. Great job!
