Hi, Judy's friend Jimb here ^_^. Holey moley that's a fun game!
I *love* the fact that the first row in each new area is completely solid - it gives me a great strategic break to make sure I clear out everything above it, using that as a path to get back to my main rope.
Though overall this game follows a pretty standard formula, the super-limited carrying space of a tiny number of discrete gems feels really good here, and makes it feel a little different.
I had a lot of difficulty with accidentally mining something that I didn't want to mine... lost a couple games that way as I turned around to do a jump, and found myself digging into the one platform that would get out of there -_-. Being able to cancel (let go of the button mid-dig) would be a lifesaver, I think.
Music is pretty great too, what was it made in?
I win! I went home with $2680 and 1 pretty gem. HoleyMoley.PNG
Suddenly I couldn't use the rope anymore and I got stuck, not understanding what happened. Other than that, the game is really cool, it has a fun loop to pick up loot and come back to sell, which reminded me a lot of MMORPGs. The music is cool and the art is simple but efficient. Nice game!
Things I liked - Awesome music and cute art, as always - Getting additonal upgrades and digging deeper - Being surprised to find the teleporters deeper down I wasn't expecting!
Suggestions: - I didn't realize rope cost 10 per segment for a while so that took me a while to figure out. - The "R to restart" tutorial came up a lot, and I got stuck a lot, but hitting R totally reset my progress, which was a total bumer.
