I know you didn't have much time for this, but here are some things to consider. 1. When the ship is on the other side, I cannot make a straight line down the middle. Keeping the camera behind the ship, or making a laser could help with this. 2. The ship could be slightly faster, and it could have some weight to it. This makes it feel like a huge spaceship that is actually traveling around.
Not bad at all for 6h! I liked the particle effects. The gameplay is very nice with a controller, but it takes a bit until the level gets exciting :) After about 300 points it rocks!
It would be awesome if you could go with the spaceship 360 in a circle :D
