Congratulations on your first game jam! The snowflake growing while rolling in the snow was a really nice touch.

I disappeared when I started level two, though. The game was still playable, but the snowflake wasn't visible at all. Unfortunately it meant I couldn't play much further than that, but I enjoyed what I did play!

A little bit of audio would go a long way in this game. Even blips or bloops when jumping or rolling. That's not a big gripe though!

I can assure you, my first "real" game looked nothing like this. You're doing great for a first time and I wish you the best of luck!

@codyhansen Thank you, as I said in the description it's a first for me for pretty much everything. Time management was my biggest mistake, I worked too much on the features instead on everything. It's not shown in the final build but I had the time to work on a fire wall, fire, smoke and a little AI but level design was a lot harder than expected meaning I could really work on two levels in time sadly :c Anyway, that was fun in overall ^^

Btw I played and rated your compo, nice idea you got there !

For a first time, indeed it is not bad !

As you said, I think the biggest issue you had was prod work : managing the tasks and determining which one to do first. The level design is huge and I noticed a lot of small features and great ideas (water instakill, wind tunnels, snow growth when on ground), but I think the gameplay of only on button (two when you're on snow but it's not very often) serves your level design badly. I would suggest smaller levels with clearer goal and a more fluffy gameplay (why not add one button/feature at the end of level 1 so that it breaks monotony). For dev work, it's really good, wind and direction jump are well done, colliders don't bug. I only had a problem with the player disappearing on level2 (maybe a z axis problem ?) Obviously sound design and more work on the graphics would have helped but in a compo it is quite hard to put everything.

Overall, nice work with potential that need more time management.
