Start with nothing? OK!

Interesting ! The game works, the graphics are okay but i have a problem from a design perspective, and I think a tad more design (game/level) would have be interseting. Maybe you should have had a bit less elements and focused on the constraints on usign them. Overall, it was great nontheless, congrats !

@luc-dercourt

Hey! thanks! I love your comment!

Unfortunately the time I had was very little and I wanted to do everything from 0 (graphics, animations, sounds, code, everything is done / searched for from 0) ...

I tried to put as many things as possible that didn't take me too long to spend ...

the only constraints I entered were the achievement of the goal, and the limited number of bricks, ... and the score that varies according to the number of bricks used (in order to convince you to use as many bricks as possible) ...

Anyway, since people are enjoying the game, I'm going to continue ... (I'm getting feedback from various platforms)

if you want to lose another 2 minutes writing to me ... what would you change / add to improve it?

@fiaful Well I think you may have went kind of overkill on some features. To summarize, there is one key thing you need to keep in mind for your next jams : scope.

For exemple, no offense but by the looks of your game I can tell you're not a graphist. On your next attempts, try to design your game around your skills. For exemple, don't use a style like stickman that needs a lot of animations if you don't feel confortable with it. Also, keep in mind that your time is limited, so one you have your concept, say "placing blocks to build the level", don't go creating a plethora of blocks/ladders/slopes. Build your core gameplay, then toy with it a bit.

I know this is kind of general, but since I was not by your side while you where working on your project, this is from an external perspective so take it with a grain of salt ^^ !

Controls are a little confusing but still fun to play.
