Awesome graphics, but there is a bug that disable movement for like 10 seconds on a start of every round.
@pierkwadrat true But my characters didn't move even after 10 seconds. So sad, It looks interesting.
Amazing graphics, music and sounds matching. The only reason I didn't give all 5s is because the (keyboard) controls feel too unresponsive for a smash game.
Good mood an funny game <3
@valentin Thanks very much !
@pierkwadrat @mrjackhpil I'm sorry for this, it worked fine over here, with both my work and personal computers, I think it's probably coming from running the game at low FPS ? If it wasn't running at 60FPS, try lowering the quality settings after clicking the .exe This should fix the bug.
@wojciech-zyla Were you running the game at 60FPS ? if not, have you tried lowering the graphics ? Some parts of the game are framerate dependent I believe, this was not intended, but lowering the quality settings could help.
@morriss The game has been uploaded to Itch.io, so downloading should work :thinking: Maybe try with another browser, and see if you can download other games on Itch.io
To all future playtesters, if you experience weird bugs, try lowering the quality settings until it plays at 60FPS. Some features appear to be framerate-dependent, it was not intended, Sorry ! :wink:
The background music is absolutely hilarious. :laughing: Shame it doesn't loop in the main menu. As for the gameplay, the controls for player 1 feel a bit weird. But maybe it's just me never playing any local multiplayer games on a single keyboard. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Also 1 bug I encountered was that the player could just stick to the wall as long as the player is holding down the move key. That would take all the fun away if it were to be abused.
I absolutely love the transitions, could you elaborate on how that was done?
Great game guys!
Really loved the stage art and audio! Gameplay is also great and a few tweaks like fast-falling would make it even better
@jeffreylaarman I'm very glad you liked it ! , I agree it feels better to play with a controller than with keyboard, Although you should be able to shoot with the S key if you prefer, instead of F. there are some hidden alternative controls that we put while developing and didn't remove, like AZERTY controls (moving with Q and D)
As for the wall sticking, you're right, we've seen this happen a few times, but since it's not a competitive game in itself, and it's only local multiplayer, I guess it's not game breaking, if anything, it can be a fun joke :wink:
Transitions were made by animating UI images in Unity3D, which is the engine we used. It literally is just plain color images moving around the screen :laughing:
Thanks for playing !
@yoshim Thanks a lot ! :wink:
What a fun game :thumbsup:
@crosenlund79 Thanks !
Had some trouble getting used to te control but overall the game was fun to play! :)
sadly i had no one to play this with -- however i did still have fun shooting the other chicken -- thanks for making this
@paulhocker Yeah, that's the main downside of local multiplayer games I agree. But if you ever find the opportunity to play with someone, definetely give it a shot, it's a lot of fun ! :wink:
I'm glad you still liked the game though, thanks ! :heart:
