Interesting twist on the theme.

I'm a fan of the sound effects, especially egg abduction.

At first I didn't know how to break the egg, but I guess I should have read How to section, my bad.

Great work!

Great game! I think this is your best LD entry yet. The art style and animation looks great. I think adding drawings of the ingredients in the frying pan was really going the extra mile. The sounds were cute and made the eggs feel like they had life and personality. It did take me a minute to figure out that the orders to complete were on the left side, and also that I had to hold on an egg to use it as an ingredient. I think sacrificing the eggs was a great use of the theme. I couldn't tell if there was an end game (if it stopped after messing up so many orders), but I made it to 113 points before quitting. By the way, the fill meter when pressing an egg reminded me of the old XBox 360 controller lights, so I was wondering if that's where you got the idea from.

@levidsmith Thanks. I almost bit off more than I could chew on the art, but scaled it so it was manageable (e.g., egg arms, legs, and eyes are all animated separately, each ingredient in the pan is an on/off layer, etc.).

Like the other economic LD games I've done, there's really no end-game, and even the mid-game isn't very balanced. I tried to balance the system well enough that it feels like it works so long as you only play a few quick games. :) You only lose points for failing orders; at some point, though, I imagine you can never catch up enough to stay above 0.

The 360 reference was unintentional but the first thing that came to mind. I don't think Unity sprites support radial fill like UI images do, so dividing the long touch indicator into pieces was just easier.

Really impressive entry! I played until 2030 points but it seemed endless. It requires more ingredients but the allowed time to prepare stays quite long. At first I thought I needed to avoid more than 4 orders coming in until I realized new orders just stop when the list is full. It was quite stressful before, HAHA.
