You should perhaps make it public if it's private.
Smart little game, though it doesn't necessarily fall under 'incompatible genres'. Some tight gameplay but I guess there may have been other ways to explore what is essentially a really good core mechanic. Also, really enjoyed the EGA retro graphics, right up my street!
Working for me now - I quite like the concept, it's a lot of fun for a simple game, I think it could use some penality for hitting a square with an incorrect color, but otherwise really cool little game
I liked it, but it lacks a goal or a challenging feeling so it didn't retain my interest. It reminded me of the games I did in my first LD, but with a far better execution. Well done! :)
Easy to understand, fun to play, good job! Although I wish I could see my score after I died.
Solid execution of an interesting mechanic. I would have preferred 4 weapons to switch between rather than 2 as sometimes it was difficult to remember exactly which color was associated with which mouse button. Could definitely be interesting if expanded further.
Thanks for your inputs! I aim to improve on the game and I'll definitely try to implement your recommendations
Some good arcade fun. A nice steady increase in challenge, and some hectic moments ensured! I found it a little bit heard to see the player ship - perhaps a UI element would have made it more clear what my colour was, and what the next one would be. Great work!
Good job. its a little bit hard
nice, especially for a first game ;) the sound effectcoud be a little les loud tho :p bud solid entry overall
Fun game but i'd like to see a difficulty progression, it doesn't feel like it gets harder. Also i found a way to exploit the game. Just spam E and left/right mouse button. That way you just spam out all colours at the same time. Some music would be nice too. Otherwise, good job!
Thanks for all your feedback! I'm working to improve the game with your recommendations!
Nice little arcade-like game you've made. As others have said, maybe increasing the speed of the squares or the amount that appears as time goes one would make it more challenging. Awesome work though!
A fun old-school game and a really good one for your first entry. A highscore list at the end and a little more difficulty would be great features if you further want to improve the game. (And like @arvid-nygren said it's currently really easy to exploit the game which still doesn't make it less fun ;)
The core gameplay of shooting things to survive works well and is generally fun to play, but I don't really see how it really mixes genres. Maybe taking out multiple enemies with the same shot should give more points? Then the challenge would be to keep as many enemies on screen at once without getting hit, thereby naturally increasing the difficulty. A fun arcadey shooter nonetheless.
