All in all, the truck is so awkward and unresponsive and despite it saying "pick dumpster: space" I trued rubbing my truck up against every dumpster I could find mashing, holding and anything else I could think of and it didn't do anything. Maybe I am missing a logical leap here.

Also, the backup "beep" sound was funny the first couple times, and then it shifted to annoying pretty quick.

@ilseroth Hello! You need to stay with the dumpster in front of the truck and then press Space PickingCycle.jpg

Simple but very original take on the Jam theme. Really dig the idea that the more trash you gather the harder it is to get more. But rather than mess with the game physics or the world, sometimes all it takes is messing with the FOV.

I feel like this could be expanded into a critique game or a parody game that takes a crack at the huge simulator genre that exists on platforms like steam. I think it could be pretty entertaining. Almost like a Jazzpunk of the SIM world 2019.

That said I can certainly see this game making people nauseous as they play and collect more and more garbage, so if you decided to keep that as a reccuring component then that may be an issue.

Otherwise the controls were solid, the sounds were great love when you create effects from a voice, and solid graphics package. Nice work!

Neat idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26D5qtoYgoQ

I’ve never thought somebody would be interested in playing such a game. Or maybe I just consider so because of knowing how boring this work is;I have worked as a truck driver for five years now. It’s not that complicated; the only problem is that my truck sometimes gets small breaks. All covered by insurance, though (I’ve found the perfect variant for me on https://www.truckinginsurance.org/coverage/dump-truck-insurance/). But sometimes, this job drives me insane for being extremely boring, and every day is like yesterday. What do you think, should I change it, even if it’s well paid?
