Nice game but a bit too hard

Oh man, so far this entry deserve the award of best musics ! First, there are three of them where other game barely has ambiance sounds. Then, they're sooooo good, I just let the screens play it for minutes, 5/5 music, congrat's !

Now regarding the game * I was expecting that with our base army (with our base gold amount) we could afford the first castle, instead of that, I just suicided many times and never took one. Maybe the farm is the solution, but I always ended up to trigger a castle; and once out they never go back to their castle haha * The orders works fine, but I often forgot which state I was in, maybe an indicator like shield/sword in the GUI would have been useful :) * The graphics OMG ! I lol-ed so hard haha At least the whole game is consistent, this is not a bad point, just something... One can't miss playing the game * Just saying too, the binary file is a bit hidden, maybe a shortcut or README could help some to find it; anyway.

Eventually, this is a very good entry. Mainly because you didn't use any engine, just the SFML library and you did something great, even awesome ! You should write you techs somewhere so the others know (for the lambda reader, yes we did the LD together haha).

Thanks for the fun, I enjoyed the time spent here !

@vegevan : "maybe an indicator like shield/sword in the GUI would have been useful "

I forgot to indicate it in the tutorial, but the pitcure at the left of the power bar is either a skullhead or a shield depending on the currently selected mode for your troops !

I've always been about game play over graphics. You have some really good game play going on here. I tried to farm the single knights at came from the castles but it seems like I could kill them fast enough or I just wasn't getting enough money to replace the men I was losing. I learned quickly to stay away from the castles unless I wanted to restart the game again . The music was amazingly good! I'm curious in your play tests if you were able to take a castle?
