A few typo but no obvious bug. Good point.
I can't figure out how to win, though.
I tried boosting power first, then happiness, then disabling power.
I end up with very high power and hapiness but I can't enact other policies without creating a revolt.
Care to give me a clue?
I HAVE ENACTED EVERYTHING Great stuff :)
**Gameplay**
Reminds me a lot of idle games like "a dark room". Was fun to try out various combinations of oppressive policies. I found no bug to speak of, everything worked fine and in a predictable way.
**Ambiance** I AM THE MOST POPULAR DICTATOR EVER MWAHAHA
I tried few combinations, and hell... I'm good at destroying my country.
It was a pretty good game! The only issue I had, is that there was a lot of reading to do at the beginning. I am a fan of get in there and play.
Fun idea and an interesting game. I think it would have been nice with some information about the effect of each policy before you enact it, because currently it's pretty much just a random guess, and it doesn't feel like there is much skill involved with playing the game. It's a neat and different idea however, with some obvious political references ;) Overall it's a cool little game - well done!

At first i clicked on the audio mute button because i thought it was muted by default, there is a click when your title theme loops btw.
It's a little bit to read at the start, but it's worth getting through and the game won't hold your hand afterwards.
The graphics are really functional and clean, albeit it would have been nice to enlarge the window.
For the gameplay, it was fun figuring stuff out at first, with the twitter responses making it more interesting.
Later it seems like there is only one obvious path to take:
Increase Power and Happiness ->get the others as high as possible before they assassinate you, and then remove some power policies while gradually reducing their rights again.
EDIT: Looks like there's more to it, disabling already enacted policies is a must.. it also seems like what the people on twitter say is playing a role and you have to act accordingly.
I think you could have merged the two tabs into one though and enlarged the window just a bit.
Audio is nothing ground breaking, but functional in assisting the gameplay
Overall: It's fun! :)

Was a funny game and so humourious ! It's just a great simulation game of what's going in allmost of the countries of this world. However, it has simple gameplay but was awesome ! Great work !

Interesting game, and rather dark! You had a large variety of effects to chose from, which made the decisions very interesting to make! If you are going to make post-LD improvements, I would suggest, with the game being very text-focused, that you put the text through a spell-checker and/or get another person to proof-read, as there were a few grammatical errors.
The mechanic where you incrementally increase (or decrease) your level of total power, which in turn unlocks new policies, worked very well. The icons were clear and gave a vibe of fun that had an interesting contrast with the game's theme.
Nice work!
