The character animation and the overall style is pretty good.
The tutorial could be better.
In general, Great Game!

Thanks for the feedback! Hmm, was the tutorial too overbearing, or was there something I didn't explain well?
A very nice little game! I love the way you handled camera movement, it's very smooth and barely noticeable and that is the most important thing about graphics. I really wish you had bound turning to either the mouse or right analog, so that it would be independent of your walking direction, because at the beginning it's really quite awkward, especially since the mouse buttons do things related to where you're looking. Also, rolling shouldn't be the fastest method to get around, even if there is the whole stamina element. If you want to make a roll to be fast enough to get out of the way of incoming attacks maybe add a few frames of recovery at the end, so that running is still faster(like in Dark Souls). But, on the plus side again, very coherent in style and it looks amazing. I also like that you have to put down the torch to defend yourself(reminds me a bit of The Cave, when you can also carry 1 item an you must put it down in places). Brilliant lighting effects. Very nice game!
PS. I couldn't die to the boss. My health went down to a tiny bit and stayed like that while I persevered to mush my face into him and hack my way through to victory. You should probably look into that;).
Nice feedback! I agree about the rolling, I was going to add iframes to it, but I ran out of time so I settled for making it a faster movement option so it did something. I also ran out of time to implement dying at all :D
Great little game. I like the art style.
Gameplay wise it was a fun to play around with the mobility by rolling, and I think it could be fleshed out into a really nice game by playing around a bit more with how you can defeat the enemies by using your mobility. I'd have wanted to be able to block the monsters as well with the shield (maybe stunning them?).
I like how some of the atmosphere was created by the computer terminals as well.
Thanks! You should be able to block the monsters with the shield, and it should stagger them. I definitely wanted to add more monster types that made use of the combat mechanics, but I didn't even find the time to add in dying...
a good game, I'm not sure about the music, it's good but not what I would have put in this situation. for next version, you should accelerate the caracter, I foud them a bit slow. also, graphically, the game is good the light is well used (exept that I think the texture for the caracter is not finished yet maybe? ). but it's a great job, continue! :)
very cool adventure, i love it, your sheer amount of work that was put it to it is very obvious
nicely done mate keep up the good work by the way, the animation dulls are the best :D
i just finished the game, and i must say, nice ending you got over there :)
one the main boss was nice. and the credits after the ending... hehe :D they kept me waiting for a bit.
but yeah, nice touches, i like your game :)
I really like this game, while the movement and combat does feel a little unpolished it is still an enjoyable experience. I also like the usage of stamina comparable to a game like dark souls. All in all i feel like this is a great result for the limited time available.
This is really good, the dialogue was interesting, the world was fun to explore and the combat was fun enough. The only problems i have is the lack of sounds for the boss, the really slow stamina regen and the shield is almost useless. Finally I can't seem to die and I somehow one shotted the boss to death. Hope you'll continue this because it is a pretty interesting concept. Good job overall.
Cool game
Thanks for all the feedback! I'm glad some of you enjoyed my entry! The lack of sound on the boss really disappointed me, I also had planned on making it shoot a lazer during the phase where the orbs spun close to him that would require blocking, but the boss was entirely last minute. Okay, SFX were literally last minute.
your game looks really good. Have you thought about publishing it (on Steam, GOG,..)?
