Sadly, I can't test since I don't have a VR device.
But congratulations to use it!

Yeah another Cardboard game, nice! I'm not alone ^^

Nice! It seems there have been multiple vr entries! I thought of the same idea actually but unfortunately could not submit due to homework and other stuff but nice!

I don't have VR, but your 3D modeling is awesome( or on fleek as the one and the only goddess Kim Kardashian West would say )!

It's nice to see some VR games here. The shooting is accurate and I can see some potential in the concept. Anyway I found some little bugs in the game. I was able to shoot my own mast. The back button the game is not working at all(tested on Nexus 5x). It would be very nice if you could add some more gameplay into the scene.

Cardboard represent!

Nice to see some cardboard games but it's a shame that it doesn't fully use cardboard controls. It would be more fun if I was able to shoot using the magnet ring, as automatic shooting removes a bit of the immersion. This doesn't exactly categorize as a game as there are no time constraints or score. It would be nice if the ships moved and shot you back. Did you model the ships yourself? They look great. Though I feel they need some sort of texture.

A Windows version would have been nice, unfortunately I cannot play your game :(

ali312 2016-08-31 09:48

@Guennor actually you can fire with magnet ring, if you want plunging fire, or just fire to the sea. But I like gaze control :)

Also game supports keyboard/gamepad controls for ship movement.

About some actions from other ships: it is compo, and I was limited in 48 hours. So I'll play fair and now let it in this state for now. But of course, I'm thinking about som greate enchantments.

@gonutz I don't think, that the game would nice on windows. But may be if you have 3D TV, you can play it in horizontal stereo pair mode. But with spherical distortion.

Anyway, If you want, I'll create standalone builds.

@goodbadokay Well don't bother then, I meant creating a Windows (or rather desktop) version in the sense of creating the experience for the desktop. I think it is cool that you did a VR game, it's just that most people will not be able to play the game here I guess.
Usually it takes a lot of work to change the game experience to work on such a different system, so never mind my comment :)

@gonutz I've chosen the most cheapest VR technology: a lot of people have smartphones, headset costs less than 10$ or can be created DYI. It is fun, I like VR experience and I wanted to create VR game.

Desktop version is playable, but experience is a bit dull. Anyway, mobile VR game is what I wanted, it is uncharted field where there is a lot of options for experiments.

played on windows... beautiful sea ships

эх.. заскучал по морю! спасибо

ali312 2016-09-09 23:42

@prygskok ну воот, Windows, а если бы в VR, то вообще было бы полное погружение :)

xzippyzachx 2016-09-14 20:06

Nice!!!

So I played it on my google cardboard and over all it was a great experience!

The ships are greatly detailed and I kinda like the fact they have just one plane color.

The projectile is a capsule which is kinda weird, but its not really that much of a deal.

Over all It was a great simple VR Game!
