Nice, you obviously put effort into this, but is too demanding on a player, it takes very specific type of player who will take time to really get into the game enough to conquer the gameplay. But I think if you're taking part in LD you should really look for creative ways to build a game based on a theme, thats the fun part of it, rather than build a game you personally prefer first and then look for ways to implement theme into it. Still, I hope this was a good practice for something you'll make in the future.

Felt like a nice throwback to the 90s! I like the ambitious depth and the very notion of being in charge of your own world ship generally speaking but I didn't feel it matched the jam theme that well. I had some fun in trying to find a balance between finding new worlds to exploit and keeping restlessness at bay. I wasn't able to win the game, nor lose it, and having bottomed out on happiness seemed ultimately to not matter that much. Could do with better guidance and more of a direction for gameplay but I'd be happy to see this game develop and get more balanced.
Once I figured out the controls, it was really cool!
Very ambitious entry, but great work!

I understand the game partly. To be honest I think this game is a bit too ambitious for Ludum Dare, because you have to explain the gameplay somehow to the player but 48 hours are not enough time for a good tutorial.
I think this game has potential if you explain your game better (what is this update for etc)
